A lawsuit has been filed in Marion County, Indiana, to halt a $4 billion data center project planned for Decatur Township. The Metropolitan Development Commission approved the project on March 18, despite strong opposition from residents. The lawsuit alleges that the city approved variances and commitment modifications for the proposed Sabey Data Center Technology Park that violate the petitioners' due process rights and Indiana law. It also argues that the proposed data center conflicts with the area's planned use for retail, offices and residential uses. The defendants have two weeks to respond to the lawsuit.
