The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Los Angeles County for Monday and Tuesday, with north winds of up to 50 mph expected. The advisory is valid from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., which could cause tree limbs to fall and power outages. The NWS warns that strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. The three-tier alert system includes a High Wind Warning, Sustained, Strong Winds, and Strong Winds with even stronger gusts. If you are caught outside or driving, take shelter in a sturdy building. Additionally, charge batteries of essential items such as cell phones and booster packs, weather radios and power tools.
