Legoland New York has launched a new family fun attraction, the LEGO Ferrari Build & Race, with the world's largest Lego brick Ferrari 12 Cilindri car. The attraction, which opened on March 27, combines the serious business of Ferrari racing with an engaging plaything for children. The Lego Ferrari model was built from 554,767 Lego bricks and took Master Model Builders over 2,300 hours to assemble. The Race Track Zone uses digital technology to scan the "toy" Ferrari designs, personalize their cars, and race against others in the virtual Pista di Fiorano racetrack. The Brick Pit Crew competition winners were among the first to experience the new attraction. This is part of a global partnership between Merlin Entertainments, which operates Legoland Resorts, and Ferrari.
