TSA lines ‘going to get much worse,’ Duffy says

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has warned that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at airports is likely to get "much worse" as the partial government shutdown continues. Duffy noted that TSA agents are likely to quit or miss their second paycheck due to the lack of work. The shutdown could prompt smaller airports to temporarily halt operations due to a growing call-out rate. Over 360 TSA officers have quit since the partial shutdown began in late February. President Trump has announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers will be deployed to airports nationwide to assist with operations amid the funding impasse.
