The NCAA president, Charlie Baker, responded to criticism from UConn coach Geno Auriemma of the two-site regional format, stating that it is "hard to argue" that the formula is not working. The women's NCAA tournament will move from a four-site format to two sites in 2023 and is expected to continue for at least five more seasons.
