Children's Health Defense, the nonprofit group founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has hired federal lobbyists for the first time to fight against federal proposals that would fast-track the buildout of wireless infrastructure. The group, founded by Kennedy, has been lobbying against attempts to expand federal preemption for building cell towers and streamlining or exempting wireless infrastructure from environmental reviews to expedite its rapid buildout. The move comes as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) seeks new members due to its waning influence in the Democratic Party. Meanwhile, Democratic presidential hopefuls are distancing themselves from the pro-Israel lobby ahead of 2028.
