iOS 26.5's Messages app has RCS end-to-end encryption in beta

iOS 26.5 beta 1 is now available for developers, with a new Apple Maps feature and hints of a new in-app subscription option. The Messages app also supports end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging. This change from the previous beta cycle, which Apple stated would be implemented in a future 26.x release. However, there is no mention in Apple’s release notes of this feature being shipped in the public build.
