Ossium Health co-founder Kevin Caldwell and Erik Woods have toured the world's first bone marrow bank in Indianapolis. The company extracts bone marrow from the spinal columns of deceased organ donors, making a bone marrow transplant more available and more convenient. The tour was led by Indiana Gov. Mike Braun, who announced $1 billion in performance-based incentives for life sciences companies. Caldwell believes biosciences will be a major driver of innovation and change to daily life over the next 50 years, similar to how microelectronics drove change over the past 50 years.
