Seattle-based Brinc Drones founder and CEO Blake Resnick has unveiled the Guardian drone, a Starlink-connected drone that could'replace the police helicopter' and be the most capable 911 response drone ever. The drone is designed to provide crystal-clear visuals day or night and can also be paired with Guardian Station, a robotic charging nest that automatically swaps batteries and can quickly redeploys the drone to a new mission without waiting for any charging downtime. Guardian is the world's first Starlink connected drone and can be used to load different payloads onto the device, such as defibrillator for a heart attack victim, flotation device for someone drowning, or emergency medication such as Narcan for an overdose victim. Despite the high cost of a new police helicopter, Resnick believes Guardian's potential to be called on to chase a stolen car or investigate a burning building.
