President Donald Trump's administration is planning to roll back federal requirements for the Head Start program, a program that serves as an educational resource for families who may not be able to afford it. The current regulations, which cover over 100 pages, would be replaced by a dozen rules, leaving the rest to state and local laws. Jill Bomberger, Director of Community Action Head Start, said this could change their main mission: providing more comprehensive services and reducing administrative burdens. The changes are expected to be announced in a few days and could be finalized by the end of this year.
