Jinninn's No. 2 overall pick, David Bailey, has been identified as the ideal defensive player for the Jets, with coach Aaron Glenn expressing his plans to use him in his revamped defense. Bailey, who signed a four-year, $54.67 million deal with $36.2 million fully guaranteed, is expected to perform well in his rookie season. The Jets need immediate production from Bailey, after finishing 31st in sacks and last in turnover margin last season. Despite being the highest-drafted defensive player in Jets history, Bailey is already the early favorite to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, according to BetMGM. He has the highest odds (+500) to win, with Buccaneers linebacker Rueben Bain Jr. having the second-highest odds (+550).
