Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has criticized the Trump administration's decision to temporarily remove some sanctions on Russian oil amid the Iran war. Schiff argued that the decision was a "terrible decision" due to the unpredictability of war and that the U.S. is giving Russia $140 million a day while Moscow is providing intelligence to Iran to improve its attack and kill American troops. The Treasury Department announced that the temporary removal of sanctions will not provide significant financial benefit to the Russian government. The sanctions will remain in place until mid-April. There are about 130 million barrels of Russian oil at sea, while the price for one barrel of crude oil fluctates at around $100.
