The 26-year-old man, identified as the alleged leaker of Paramount's new Avatar movie, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, has been arrested by Singaporean police for allegedly leaking the film onto the internet. The alleged leakster, who accessed a server where the project was being held before its scheduled October 9th premiere on Paramount Plus, could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of unauthorized access to computer material. The leaks first appeared in an April 11th X post claiming that someone at Nickelodeon (which is owned by Paramount Skydance) accidentally emailed them the entire Avatar A-themed movie to them. The leaker claims they were trying to troll due to Paramount's decision to release the film directly to its streaming service rather than giving it a theatrical debut as the studio originally planned. The situation has been particularly impacting on Avatar fans given the first time the franchise co-creators would return to the franchise.
