The Golden Gate Park Band is set to return for its 144th season with a free concert series, which will run through September 26th. The series will feature 24 unique concerts with 30 professional musicians. The band will open with a "Soul of the City Since 1882" concert celebrating its legacy. Other events include special Juneteenth and Pride celebration concerts featuring "local legends" and dance groups, and a 250th year 4th of July Celebration concert. Longtime band member Mark Nemoyten is also looking forward to special performances, including new guest performers.
