Chile-based developer, Parque Arauco, reported a 17.9% surge in revenue to CLP 104,178 million (approx. US$117 million) and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 77.6%. The strong performance was driven by double-digit tenant sales growth in Peru and Colombia, and coincided with the company's announcement of acquiring Mall Paseo Quilín in Santiago’s southeast corridor for an enterprise value of about US$119 million. However, net income attributable to the controlling interest fell 30.8% to CLp 18,353 million (approximately US$20.6 million), a figure that may reflect non-operational factors or financing costs. The acquisition of Mall Paseso Quillín comes amid what analysts are calling a sustained mall boom in Chile. Despite macroeconomic headwinds in Latin America, formal retail spaces continue to consolidate, driven by a growing middle class and shift towards experiential shopping.
