WHCD shooting suspect faces assassination attempt charge

The suspect in the White House Correspondents' Association dinner shooting, Cole Tomas Allen, has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump, along with two federal gun charges. The charges could be the start of the investigation, with additional charges potentially added as the investigation continues. Allen, a 31-year-old California man, did not enter a plea during his arraignment. He is expected to return to court on Thursday to determine if he will remain in federal custody.
