Tate McRae, a 22-year-old pop performer from Calgary, Alberta, has been named this year's Women in Music Hitmaker by Billboard. Her music videos and high-profile performances have been integral to her public image since her debut in the genre of Gen Z pop. She enlisted fellow hit-makers Ryan Tedder and Amy Allen to help create radio-friendly pop bangers and is now making her first Billboard Hot 100 appearance in 2020 with "You Broke Me First."
