‘The Perfect Neighbor’ Examines a Shocking Neighborhood Feud That Turned Fatal

A feud between Susan Lorincz and Ajike "AJ" Owens in Ocala, Florida, escalated for over two years, leading to a fatal shooting that resulted in the death of Owens in June 2023. The Oscar-nominated documentary feature, "The Perfect Neighbor," uses police body camera footage and other evidential materials to detail the rift between the two women. The case is now the subject of a special edition of 20/20 titled "The Neighbor from Hell," which will air on ABC on Friday, April 3. Lorinciz was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 25 years in prison. She maintains her actions were justified under Florida's controversial "stand your ground" laws.
