Council spending on foreign trips causes division

Over £12,000 in approved foreign travel for Edinburgh councillors and officers has caused division among the council. The Lord Provost, two council officers, and a council officer, were among those flying business-class to New York for Tartan Week, a celebration of Scottish links to the Big Apple. However, SNP councillor Stuart Dobbin argued that the money should be used for council services.
