The Trump Administration is set to unveil a landmark package of proposed and final gun regulations for the DOJ and ATF, following President Donald Trump's Executive Order 14206 in 2025. The executive order halted existing policies to restrict the Second Amendment and directed the Attorney General to review all orders, regulations, guidance, plans, and other actions made by the Biden Administration related to firearms. The administration reported that this increased enforcement action has led to a six-fold increase in federal firearms enforcement actions against Federal Firearms Licensees (FFL). The Senate has approved the nomination of Robert Cekada as head of the ATF.
