The San Diego Tourism Authority is celebrating the California burrito, a signature dish created in the city on April 2. The Moxy hotel in downtown San Diego is renaming the burrito as the San Diego Burrito, while Novecientos Grados, a Mexican restaurant founded by Tony Hawk, is offering a discount. The burrito combines beef, guac, cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream into a flour tortilla. The fries addition to the mix adds texture and enhance flavors of the ingredients. Other San Diego businesses are celebrating this day, including Lolita's Mexican Food and The Taco Stand.
