‘Be their voice’: Iranians speak on ongoing conflict, leadership change

Iranians have spoken about the ongoing conflict within the country and the selection of Mojtaba Khamenei as the next Supreme Leader. The United States and Israel have been attacking Iran with missile strikes, with Iran retaliating in response. On Feb. 28, a U.S. airstrike killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Maryam Radpour, a Utah resident from Iran, expressed concern for the safety of her people and the safety the government is creating. Niala Masrouri, another Utah resident, also expressed concern about the stability of the Iranian regime and its potential enemies. They encouraged people outside Iran to become educated about the situation and called for the defense of political prisoners.
