Only One Supreme Court Justice Says Conversion Therapy Is Bad

The Supreme Court has overturned a ban on "conversion therapy" in an 8-0 ruling, stating that it was discriminatory towards the viewpoints of those seeking to torment LGBTQ+ people. The court sided with Kaley Chiles, a licensed counselor who argued that the ban violates her First Amendment rights to free speech. The ruling was written by conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch and a dissenting opinion by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. More than 20 states have enacted some form of ban on such therapy.
