The Recording Academy's 25th Grammys on the Hill initiative has hosted a three-day event in Washington, D.C., focusing on protecting human creativity as AI continues to transform the music industry. The event included over 200 Recording Academy members, industry leaders, and members of Congress for the Grammys Awards, which honored Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) and Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) for their bipartisan efforts to protect musicians against unauthorized AI-generated replicas of a person’s voice and likeness. The Advocacy Day also included a roundtable briefing on AI and the future of music. The Future Forum, a conference convening music creators and policymakers for discussions on the most pressing issues shaping the industry, also featured a keynote conversation with Harvey Mason.
