Northrop Grumman's ready to hit the gas on IBCS

Northrop Grumman is preparing to increase production of its Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), a software-driven air and missile defense nerve center. The company is focusing on scaling production and adapting the system for modular use on smaller platforms. The system is now in full-rate production and is being hailed as a scalable fit for growing U.S. and allied demand. During a media tour, Northrop leaders said two or three additional countries could sign on for IBCS. The IBCM could drive 1,000 new hires in the next five years, according to operations project manager at EPIC.
