This comes after President Donald Trump criticised the military alliance for not participating in a military operation against Iran. Bacon believes that the GOP would "implode" if the United States departed NATO. He also warned that an international coalition of countries would help escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, which has remained closed since the start of the conflict.
