Georgia voters have less than a week to register for the state's May 19th primary election, with early voting starting soon after. Registered voters must be in place by April 20 and must be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of Georgia and the county in which you wish to vote, at least 17-1/2 years of age, and 18 to vote. The primary election will also feature a closely watched race for governor, with Republican Brian Kemp being term-limited and can't run for re-election. Early voting runs for three weeks prior to election day, with voters being able to cast their ballots at any early voting location in their county. The state has open primaries, allowing voters to choose which party's primary ballot they want.
