A federal appeals court has allowed construction on President Donald Trump's new White House ballroom to continue until June, despite a federal judge's order stopping progress. The court's decision allows construction to continue on the above-ground, 90,000-square-foot ballroom and the underground military bunker included in the $400 million project to replace the East Wing. The judge's decision was criticized by the president, who argued that the ballroom is vital to national security and that no future president living in the White House without this room would be safe and secure.
