A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of 16-year old Camron Smith, who was stabbed to death in front of his mother in the early hours of 1 July 2021. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man was arrested in Croydon and remains in custody. The court heard that a group of men had hijacked a minicab to search for rival gang members following a previous incident and chased the teenager to a bedroom where he and his mother, Audrey Johnson, attempted to hide.
