Knicks blowout win evokes bad Suns memory for Mikal Bridges

The New York Knicks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 140-89 in Game 6 of their opening-round NBA Playoff series, marking a significant victory for Mikal Bridges. Bridges was reminded of a previous game in which the Dallas Mavericks beat the Phoenix Suns 123-90. The Mavericks were the No. 1 overall seed in the 2022 Western Conference semifinals after winning a franchise record 64 regular-season games. New York led Atlanta by 47 points at halftime, an all-time playoff record, and extended the lead by as much as 61 in the second half.
