Former astronaut, Rick Hart, has shared his insights on health challenges for the Artemis II crew, which are different from the mission it takes to perform on. Hart, who spent a week on the Challenger mission as part of the mission, noted that the astronauts' sense of smell and taste are diminished in space. However, NASA is concerned about radiation from the Sun for longer missions like to Mars, which could lead to health impacts later in life. The crew is currently wearing radiometers to measure the radiation they are picking up.
