The donation comes with a catch, as former state legislator Carlton Wing, who rebranded Arkansas PBS as Arkansas TV, had to adjust plans after losing $2.5 million in federal funding. The state of Arkansas was the first in the country to vote on splitting up PBS, but the decision was delayed by 180 days. The anonymous donor's pledge stated that others should also contribute to save PBS. The money would come in $1 million increments for three years.
