New owners to celebrate rejuvenated ‘gateway to Wine Country’

Historic site, Cornerstone Sonoma, formerly owned by the disgraced LeFever Mattson real estate empire, has undergone a makeover and is set to open as part of a grand reopening event on April 24. The property, once a thriving hub of activity, was purchased for $10.65 million by Highland Pacific Capital LLC, a firm that buys distressed commercial real estate assets following bankruptcy or foreclosure. Much of the work has been done to restore the site to its former glory. The site, once known as “Sonoma’s Disneyland”, also includes 19 acres of vineyards, an organic farm, overflow parking and storage.
