An event in Hull is being held to celebrate the centenary of the vessel, Spider T, which was used to evacuate women and children during Luftwaffe bombing raids. The event, organised by owner Mal Nicholson, will allow people to share their stories and discuss the vessel's many adventures. The vessel was launched from the Warren Shipyard in New Holland in 1926 and was used primarily to transport goods.
