Construction at one of Edmond's busiest intersections has been pushed back to the summer of 2018. The project includes $9 million in improvements to the intersection at Danforth Road and Kelly Avenue. Businesses nearby have seen decreased customers and increased traffic volume. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has attributed the delays to weather delays and change orders that required additional time. Some businesses have already closed due to the delays. The ODOT spokesperson stated that once completed, the intersection will be safer and more efficient.
