A Massachusetts man, Alden Welch Ruml, has been charged with making threats in interstate commerce after authorities revealed that he sent an email threateningly to FBI Director Kash Patel's girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, expressing his delight at seeing her face "canoed by an assault rifle". The email was sent after a news article about Wilkins' involvement in the FBI's security efforts, which included the use of FBI resources to protect Wilkins and their association with the Make America Great Again political movement. Ruml pleaded not guilty to the charges and faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison if convicted.
