South Florida business owner, Omomie Henry, lost access to her main social media platform, Instagram, due to violating community guidelines. Henry, a nail technician and makeup artist, uses Instagram as her business platform to find clients and inspire them. However, without warning, her account was suddenly disabled and her income significantly decreased. She reached out for help from an automated system, which was unable to access her account. The company, Meta, responded to the issue and said they are working to improve their systems. This issue is a common issue with social media and the contract with Instagram mandates arbitration, meaning you cannot legally sue for lost revenue.
