WGA West Staff Delivers Updated Contract Proposal To Management

The staff union of the Writers Guild Association (WGA West) has delivered a new, "strike-ending" proposal to executive director Ellen Stutzman as the staff's work stoppage nears its end. The WGSU accused management of ignoring their members' priorities and the basic union standards. The staff has moved their picket to the SAG-AFTRA building, where the WGA East and West are jointly bargaining with the AMPTP. If management isn't willing to compromise, the staff is proposing arbitration within the next 60 days. The union has been attempting to negotiate its first contract since September and has accused the West's leadership of unfair labor practices.
