Despite multiple doctor visits, prescriptions, and a trip to the emergency room, Reece's symptoms continued to worsen. The family was referred to Dr. Ramzi Younis, an otolaryngologist at the University of Miami with 25 years of experience, who removed the tonsils and adenoids. The procedure is commonly associated with sleep apnea and upper airway obstruction in children. The recovery went as expected, with recovery expected for 10-15 days.
