Albuquerque man who shot and killed gas station thief receives sentence

Stephen McCorkle, a former employee at the Shwan's Gas Station in Albuquerque, has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering a shoplifter he caught him two years ago. The then 37-year-old man was found guilty of shooting and murdering James Rendon, who was found shot to death a few blocks away. Despite a prior record of felonies, McCorke has been convicted of murder.
