High schooler Zion Terry, a senior from John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia, was shot and killed by 41-year-old Levy Nelson in a domestic shooting that left him and his sister and their mother, Tiffany, dead and seriously injured. The incident occurred in Richmond's Highland Park neighborhood. Nelson was arrested after an hours-long manhunt and charged with malicious wounding and felony use of a firearm. The school plans to honor Terry at graduation next month. The district has lost over 50 students to gun violence in the past seven years.
