A man is accused of stabbing a teenager near Waterfront Park after Thunder Over Louisville. The victim was allegedly protecting her 12-year-old daughter, Bristol Staisel, who was selling snacks at the event to save up for theater camp. The incident occurred shortly after the fireworks show. Bristol's mother alleges that a man made graphic sexual comments to her daughter while they were leaving the event. She managed to intervene when a group of teenagers heard her and one of them, a 15-year old boy, intervened. Vasilis Sakellaridis was arrested after fleeing the scene with a knife and homemade brass knuckles. The boy, who only needed three stitches, is doing well and is expected to recover.
