Orlando Vilchez Lazo, known as the "Rideshare Rapist", has been convicted of 11 felony counts, including four counts of rape by force or fear and kidnapping with intent to commit rape. The crimes were committed against vulnerable women aged 21 or 22 as they waited for rides outside nightclubs in San Francisco. While the case went cold for years, the victim's courage provided the DNA evidence that led to the conviction. The sentencing could result in a 100-year to life sentence.
