Destin Fire Rescue has introduced a 52-foot coastal fast response boat, the largest fire rescue vessel of its kind in Florida. The boat comes equipped with four fire hoses, pumps, water rescue equipment, and more. It is designed to function as both a fire truck and an emergency room. The new boat also holds advanced water-related emergency technology, including enhanced night vision optics for rescue teams to more easily spot people in the water. The fire team has a 25-foot boat with a 150-gallon fuel tank, but the new boat can reach 125 miles.
