The Indiana Fever lost six players last season due to season-ending injuries, including Clark, and DeWanna Bonner, but the Fever were close to reaching the Finals. Despite these setbacks, the Fever re-signed six players and added Monique Billings, Tyasha Harris and Myisha Hines-Allen in free agency and drafted Raven Johnson with the No. 10 pick. Clark, who led the league in transition possessions plus assists per game last season, said she thrives when she grabs a rebound and takes off the other way. Despite this, Johnson admitted she struggled to deal with the internet backlash and said she is not interested in returning to the sport.
