The vice chair of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board, Gregory 'Dee' Rankin, will join a live discussion on the district's proposed $2.1 billion budget for the next year. The budget includes more than $1.9 billion for the operating budget, raises for teachers, and academic support for students. The school board will vote on the budget in April.
