Campaign ads must disclose use of AI as part of proposed bill

A proposed bill, House Bill 459, would require political ads to disclose the use of artificial intelligence in their advertisements. The author of the bill, Rep. Mandie Landry, states this is to protect voters from deceptive messaging and impose a $10,000 fine on candidates or campaigns who do not include an AI disclaimer. The bill is now awaiting a vote on the House floor.
