A Batavia woman, Christine Nitti, has been charged with speeding and failure to reduce speed in a February crash that killed a man named Chris Boettcher. The crash occurred at the intersection of North Randall Road and Mill Street in Batavia, Illinois. The investigation was conducted by the Batavia Police Department and approved by the Kane County State’s Attorney's Office. Both drivers were transported to hospital with minor injuries. The leading causes of injury crashes were failure to yield the right-of-way, and speeding, which led to rear-end collisions.
