iOS 26.5 beta 1: Here are all the new features

Apple has released iOS 26.5 beta 1 for developers, with a public beta expected as soon as later this week or early next week. The update does not include any of the highly anticipated Siri features, but includes a new “Suggested Places” feature that will display recommendations based on current trends in Apple Maps. The new feature will appear inside the search box in the Apple Maps app. It is unclear if this feature will actually ship when iOS. Additionally, Apple is continuing testing new features in the European Union, including Live Activities support for third-party accessories. There are also hints at new "Year In Review for 2026" features for Apple Books.
