An Evansville man, 41-year-old Randall Baker, was arrested after leading deputies on a pursuit in a stolen beer truck that ended in a crash. The stolen semi-truck was spotted heading west on State Road 66, northwest of the city and led them on a chase down Diamond Avenue before being stopped in Posey County near I-65. At one point, Baker reportedly steered the semi towards a deputy who was laying down stop sticks in the road and ended up hitting a patrol car. He was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
